About the Role
We are looking for a US Accountant who will support a US CPA firm with accounting, bookkeeping, financial reporting, reconciliations, and client accounting tasks.
Previous experience in US accounting practice is a plus, but not required. If you have strong accounting fundamentals, good communication skills, and willingness to learn, we will provide training and guidance to help you understand US CPA firm processes, software, and workflows.
This role is ideal for accountants who want to grow their career in US accounting, offshore accounting, bookkeeping, tax support, and client accounting services.
Key Responsibilities
As a US Senior Accountant, you may be assigned to support tasks such as:
- Prepare and maintain accounting records for US-based clients.
- Perform bank, credit card, and account reconciliations.
- Record transactions, journal entries, adjustments, and month-end activities.
- Assist in preparing financial statements and management reports.
- Support bookkeeping and client accounting services for US CPA firm clients.
- Assist with accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger tasks.
- Help organize client documents and accounting records.
- Highly adaptable and productive
- Work with accounting software such as QuickBooks Online, Xero, Bill.com, Excel, and other client tools.
- Communicate with the US CPA firm team regarding accounting updates, missing documents, and assigned tasks.
- Follow client procedures, deadlines, and quality standards.
- Participate in training for US accounting processes, software, and CPA firm workflows.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy, Accounting Technology, Management Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- CPA license is a plus but not required.
- At least 2 years of U.S. experience in bookkeeping, accounting, audit, tax, or finance is preferred.
- Strong understanding of basic accounting principles.
- Above average communication skills (verbal and written)
- Good attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
- Comfortable working on an EST / night shift schedule.
- Experience with QuickBooks Online, Xero, Excel, or other accounting systems is an advantage.
- Experience supporting US, Australian, Canadian, or international clients.
- Knowledge of QuickBooks Online, Xero, Bill.com, Gusto, or similar tools.
- Background in bookkeeping, tax preparation support, audit support, or client accounting services.
- Ability to work independently and follow documented processes.
- Strong organizational skills and professional communication style.
