Professional Electrical Engineer
Professional Electrical Engineer is responsible for the installation, testing and supervision of all electrical systems within a Waste-to-Energy (WTE) construction project. This includes power distribution, lighting, control systems, grounding, and electrical equipment associated with the facility.
The role involves coordinating with mechanical, civil, structural engineers and contractors, reviewing electrical drawings and specification, inspecting installations and ensuring compliance with codes, standards and safety regulations. The Professional Electrical Engineer also troubleshoot technical issues, monitors system performance and supports commissioning activities.
In essence, The Professional Electrical Engineer ensures that all electrical systems in the WTE project are designed, installed, and operated safely and efficiently, contributing to the reliable and successful operation of the facility.
Qualification:
- Education Background: Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineer from a recognized institution.
- Professional License: License: Licensed Professional Electrical Engineer with membership of related association.
- Working Experience: Minimum of 5yrs -10yrs in electrical design, installation, supervision, and commissioning, preferably in industrial or energy projects, including Waste-to-Energy facilities.
- Technical Expertise: Knowledgeable in power distribution, control systems, lighting, grounding, and electrical equipment for WTE projects.
- Software Proficiency: Skilled in electrical design and analysis software, such as AUTOCAD Electrical, ETAP, or equivalent.
- Analytical and Problem Solving Skills: Able to assess complex electrical systems, troubleshoot issues, and optimize system performance.
- Project Coordination: Capable of working effectively with multidisciplinary teams, including civil, structural, and mechanical engineer.
- Safety and Compliance Awareness: Familiar with electrical codes, industrial safety standards, and quality control practices.
- Personal Attributes: Detailed-oriented, organized, proactive, and able to work under pressure and meet project deadlines.
