About the Client

Our client is a nationwide provider specializing in HVAC, kitchen ventilation surveys, and Demand Control Kitchen Ventilation (DCKV) installations. They focus on delivering high-quality field data and seamless operational execution across a diverse range of sites.

About the Role

The Project Engineer serves as a critical link between project award and field execution, ensuring all documentation is complete and accurate so TAB Technicians can start, perform and complete jobs on time.

What you'll do:

• Set up and number keyed mechanical drawings for HVAC systems using technical specifications.
• Create and organize testing, adjusting, and balancing test forms in USA Balancer software.
• Prepare government submittals ensuring compliance with all project specifications and requirements.
• Conduct design and submittal reviews for mechanical systems to identify potential issues.
• Develop commissioning plans for HVAC, Lighting, Plumbing and Electrical systems.
• Coordinate with other departments to ensure setup completions align with overall project timelines.
• Follow established quality control standards for all TAB Forms, Keyed Drawings, and Submittals.
• Complete assigned project engineering tasks within established deadlines.
• Identify and escalate technical issues related to drawings, forms, and submittals.
• Support resolution of complex reject reports by providing technical documentation and analysis.
• Communicate project status and technical issues to the Project Engineering Department Manager.

What you bring:

• Strong knowledge of HVAC mechanical systems, including air and water balancingprinciples.
• Proficiency with BlueBeam software for document markup and review.
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and technical specifications.
• Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Demonstrated ability to meet critical deadlines consistently.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proficient written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to interpret complex technical specifications and requirements.
• Knowledge of NEBB standards and procedure
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Adaptability to changing project requirements and priorities.
• Proficiency with computer applications including Microsoft Office Suite.
