Safety Engineer

The role will be responsible for overseeing safety compliance, site inspections, regulatory requirements, and safety-related activities for the company’s mining operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Act as Safety Engineer for three small-scale mining permittees.
• Implement and monitor company safety policies, procedures, and protocols.
• Conduct regular safety inspections, audits, and toolbox talks.
• Coordinate with internal departments and external agencies on safety compliance, inspections, certifications, and regulatory requirements.
• Investigate accidents, incidents, and violations, and recommend corrective actions to the Operations Manager.
• Prepare and submit required safety, legal, and regulatory reports to the DOE and other agencies.
• Conduct surface and underground surveys using a Brunton compass and tape.
• Facilitate ECC, permitting, and other compliance-related concerns.
• Supervise safety inspectors and report directly to the Operations Manager.

Qualifications:

• Must be a Licensed Mining Engineer.
• Preferably with relevant experience in mining operations, safety compliance, or permitting.
• Licensed fresh graduates are welcome to apply.
• Knowledge of mining safety regulations, OSHS, DOE requirements, and environmental compliance is an advantage.
• Willing to be assigned and stay at the Argao mine site.
