CHIEF TECHNOLOGY OFFICER (CTO)

Role Overview

Collabtech Group (CTG) is seeking a Chief Technology Officer (CTO) to lead and align all technology initiatives across the organization. This is a senior leadership role focused on technology strategy, architecture, platform oversight, systems integration, and team leadership, rather than full‐time hands‐on coding.

The CTO will be office‐based in Cebu and play a critical role in:

• Guiding the evolution of ProjectCentric, an AWS cloud‐hosted microservices SaaS platform, primarily supporting internal business operations
• Building and managing a small, Cebu‐based engineering team
• Driving AI adoption and automation where it creates clear, measurable internal business value
• Unifying and modernizing back‐office systems across CTG

Flexibility in working hours is required to support collaboration with stakeholders in EMEA and the US.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide overall leadership for CTG’s technology strategy, architecture, and delivery
• Define and execute a technical roadmap aligned with business goals and growth plans
• Ensure systems meet standards for security, scalability, reliability, and cost efficiency
• Own key technology decisions related to platforms, tools, vendors, and architecture

• Lead the adoption of AI and automation solutions across internal platforms and workflows
• Identify high‐impact use cases that improve efficiency, analytics, automation, and decision‐making
• Oversee selection and implementation of AI tools with appropriate governance, data protection, and risk controls

• Provide architectural and technical oversight for ProjectCentric, an established 6‐year AWS‐hosted microservices SaaS platform
• Guide the development team on:
• System design and architectural standards
• Cloud infrastructure, performance, and reliability
• Deployment, monitoring, and operational best practices
• Partner with business stakeholders to align priorities, timelines, and platform evolution
• This role does not require day‐to‐day coding, but does require strong SaaS and cloud architecture expertise

• Hire, build, and manage a small engineering team based in Cebu
• Evolve and maintain development standards, best practices, and delivery processes
• Set clear expectations for quality, accountability, documentation, and performance
• Coach and support engineers as needed

• Oversee integration of MediaCentric and Collabtech back‐office systems, including
• Microsoft platforms, QuickBooks Online (QBO), and CRM systems
• Ensure smooth data flow, consistent reporting, and aligned operational processes
• Reduce friction between systems through improved architecture and automation

• Work closely with senior leadership and participate in global, multi‐country conference calls
• Communicate technical plans, progress, risks, and trade‐offs clearly to non‐technical stakeholders
• Act as a trusted advisor on technology‐related decisions
