Role Overview
The Head of Risk Management is responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining the Company’s enterprise risk management framework to ensure risks are proactively identified, assessed, monitored, and mitigated in alignment with the organization’s risk appetite, risk tolerance, and strategic objectives.The role plays a critical part in strengthening risk governance, business continuity, and promoting a strong risk-aware culture across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
Primary Responsibilities- Develop, implement, and continuously improve the enterprise risk management framework, policies, and procedures aligned with business objectives and executive-defined risk appetite and tolerance.
- Lead the systematic identification, assessment, and prioritization of risks across all business areas, including:
- Operations
- Legal and Regulatory Compliance
- Systems and Technology
- Business Continuity
- Reputational Risk
- Monitor and evaluate the organization’s overall risk profile through established Key Risk Indicators (KRIs).
- Oversee business continuity planning and support crisis response initiatives during significant disruptions or emergencies.
- Monitor the adequacy and effectiveness of mitigating controls and ensure timely resolution of identified risks.
- Champion a risk-aware culture by promoting accountability and ownership of risks across all departments.
- Effectiveness and success rate of mitigation controls and root-cause resolution.
- Timeliness of risk response and mitigation after identification.
- Alignment of business operations with defined risk appetite and tolerance levels.
- Risk culture assessment scores based on surveys, audits, or reviews.
Qualifications & Experience
Required- Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, Law, Risk Management, or a related field.
- Minimum of five (5) years of experience as a Risk Manager, within the Food and Beverage industry or any manufacturing company.
- Strong understanding of legal, regulatory, and market dynamics relevant to the business.
- Proven leadership and communication skills, with the ability to engage executive leadership and board-level stakeholders.
- Strong strategic thinking, analytical, and problem-solving capabilities.
- MBA or other advanced degree.
- Certified Risk Manager or equivalent professional certification
