Quality Assurance Associate - Micro Analyst

Principal Accountability:

  • Ensure materials and products conform to regulatory and established DFC food safety and quality requirements by performing sampling, inspection, analysis, line monitoring, and audits at pre-determined frequency/intervals.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Perform sampling, inspection and analysis (physical, chemical, microbiological using established methods and procedures on materials, in-process and finished products.
  • Perform quality audit of processing lines by performing sampling, inspection and analysis at pre-determined, specified intervals.
  • Monitor steps of the process focusing on process variables and critical control points.
  • Inspect material deliveries including integrity of delivery van/truck.
  • Maintains accurate, clean, neat records of all tests performed.
  • Monitor GMP implementation in the line: cleanliness of area, equipment, personnel, ancillaries, containers.
  • Assist Supervisor in resolving product nonconformities through root cause analysis.
  • Perform daily verification of test/measuring instrument/equipment prior to use.
  • Operate QA equipment/instrument required for the job, maintain them clean and in good working condition, and report to QA Supervisor any malfunctioning instrument or equipment prior to use.
  • Sets aside samples of products packaged as QA retained sample, samples for stability testing or for product clearance test.
  • Assist Supervisor in the implementation and monitoring cGMP and food safety policies.
  • Performs finished goods inspection.
  • Acts as liaison personnel to product line providing timely information on QA approved materials, products for packaging.
  • Observes cGMP, strictly follows company house rules safety rules and regulation during production.
  • Always keep working area clean and orderly.

Additional responsibilities for QA Associate - Micro Analyst:

  • Identifies spoilage microorganism to preserve shelf life.
  • Conducts sanitation checks on production equipment, air quality, and water sources to identify and mitigate contamination risks before it reaches the product.

Position Qualifications:

  • BS in Food Technology, Biological, or Chemical Science or a related field is desired. Graduate of BS in Biology is a plus.
  • A bachelor's degree is the minimum educational requirement for this position.
  • Minimum of 2 years industry experience preferred in QA (or a related field/industry) but fresh graduates are welcome to apply.
  • Good interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent report writing, interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal).
  • Ability to work under pressure.
  • Team player.
Technical Competencies
  • Computer literate (Microsoft 365 - Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Basic Training Requirements
  • cGMP training: Knowledge of food safety and quality systems and manufacturing processes, technologies or other relevant area of responsibility.
  • Experience of in food safety systems, quality regulations, and standards (CGMP, other benchmarked scheme, HACCP), government regulatory requirements, food manufacturing processes, technologies or other relevant area of responsibility.
  • Occupational Health & Safety.
  • Demonstrated strength in setting an example for others.
