JOB DESCRIPTION:
- Conducts daily GMP inspections and implements corrective actions for identified deficiencies.
- Inspects the grooming and hygiene compliance of all production, stockroom, and delivery personnel.
- Ensures the completeness, accuracy, and proper documentation of QA records and forms.
- Develops and recommends test procedures for products and raw materials and maintains test equipments.
- Standardizes physico-chemical properties of Work-in process and finished products.
- Develops and implement appropriate verification programs and systems.
- Ensures process standards by verifying process controls.
- Recommends and implements modifications of existing quality or production standards.
- Ensures that quality tools are functional and calibrated.
- Translates R&D documents for production and QA use as reference.
- Prepares monthly QA reports.
- Notifies management and third-party service provider of any quality deviations and non-compliance
- May perform the duties and responsibilities of QA Associates when needed.
- Reports and documents any out-of-specification (OOS) results to the QA Specialist for corrective action.
- Inspects and documents product returns and rejections from branches and commissaries.
- Verifies proper handling and turnover of production overruns for selling or repurposing.
- Monitors the implementation of preventive and corrective actions for identified process deviations.
- Conducts investigations and inspections to verify product complaints.
- Monitors the implementation of preventive and corrective actions for identified quality concerns.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Graduate of Bachelor’s Degree in Food Science (or related discipline in Nutrition, Chemical Engineering, and Microbiology)
- With at least 2 years of work experience in the food industry. Has extensive experience in product sensory evaluation and quality control processes.
- Has training with at least of Food Safety System Certification, Food Safety Management System, Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP) Familiarity with HACCP, ISO, and other food safety regulations is an advantage.
- Technically competent with familiarity on Quality Assurance concepts
- Knows how to use food laboratory apparatus and equipment
- Proficiency with MS Office applications (i.e. MS Word, Excel).
- Strong knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Quality Management Systems (QMS).
- Respectable and possesses good moral character, high level of integrity and professional working ethics.
- A proven team player and possesses good leadership skills
