Forester

He/She will work closely with the Land Acquisition Team based in San Isidro, Northern Samar, and will report directly to the Hiring Manager.

The successful candidate shall perform the following functions:

• Lead the team in conducting resource inventory activities covering forest and agricultural resources
• Provide technical assistance on methodologies and strategies to be implemented during the resource inventory, including:
• Data gathering (GPS readings, tree mensuration, and tagging)
• Records management
• Geotagging of waypoints and photos
• Proper tree species identification
• Facilitate coordination meetings with the GIS and onsite teams for the processing of inventory data
• Facilitate coordination meetings with the inventory team, including DENR personnel, such as toolbox meetings and regular safety reminders
• Manage all physical and electronic copies of records and data gathered onsite
• Ensure timely submission of data to the GIS team for processing
• Prepare reports, including but not limited to:
• Inventory sheets/tally sheets for the entire FLAg area, NGP area, and PCA data
• Stand Stock Tables (NGP, FLAg, and PCA)
• Geotagged photo layouts (NGP, FLAg, and PCA)
• Inventory endorsement reports (NGP, FLAg, and PCA)
• Post-inspection reports for DENR and PCA
• Other reports deemed necessary
• Perform other tasks that may be assigned by the Hiring Manager
