In Transport, we have and continue to be involved in key transport infrastructure programmes across the country including major airport upgrades (completed and in progress), metro works (completed and in progress) and multiple rail, bridge and highways studies, for clients ranging from ADB, Department of Transport, Department of Public Works and Highways and multiple private sector investors.
In addition, our teams also work in collaboration with other offices on projects across APAC region and with our other regions
This is a pivotal leadership opportunity based in our Manila location to shape and grow our transport business in the Philippines, where you will collaborate closely with the Country Leader and APAC Transport Leader to lead a high-performing team across rail, roads, aviation, and maritime sectors.
The Opportunity- The role involves developing and executing a comprehensive transport market growth plan that aligns with Arup’s strategic direction and values.
- Leading high-priority client pursuits is a central aspect of the position, ensuring alignment with business goals and delivering strong outcomes through effective bid strategies.
- This leader will cultivate a positive and inclusive team environment, supporting professional development and encouraging continuous improvement.
- Progress will be monitored using data-driven insights, with regular reporting to senior leadership to inform strategic decisions and refine delivery approaches.
- As a representative of Arup’s transport business in the Philippines, the role also includes promoting regional collaboration and supporting efficient, high-quality project delivery across Southeast Asia and broader APAC.
- Applicants should hold recognised tertiary qualifications in planning or engineering, along with relevant professional certification or chartership.
- Demonstrated experience in strategic leadership within the transport sector—particularly across rail, roads, aviation, and maritime—is essential.
- Strong interpersonal and client engagement skills are required, with the ability to build trusted relationships and position Arup as a partner of choice.
- Experience in leading complex bids and pursuits, including pricing strategy and proposal development, is highly valued.
