Role Overview

We are seeking an AI Transformation & Operational Optimisation Consultant to work with UK businesses to understand how they operate and identify opportunities to improve efficiency, reduce costs and increase productivity.

This role is advisory-focused and sits at the intersection of:

Operations + Cost Optimisation + AI Opportunity Discovery

The successful candidate will engage directly with clients to assess current processes, identify inefficiencies and recommend opportunities relating to:

• Workforce optimisation
• Offshore delivery models
• AI enablement
• Automation opportunities
• Process redesign
• Future operating models

The role is not expected to technically implement AI solutions, however the consultant must be able to identify opportunities and advise clients on how AI may support operational improvements.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct virtual workshops and discovery sessions with UK clients
• Understand organisational structures and delivery models
• Assess current operating processes and workflows
• Map operational dependencies and pain points
• Identify inefficiencies, bottlenecks and manual activities
• Analyse workforce structures and cost drivers

AI Transformation & Opportunity Identification

Identify opportunities where AI may improve:

• Copilot solutions
• Knowledge assistants
• Reporting automation
• Workflow acceleration

• Process augmentation
• Manual task reduction
• Internal efficiency improvements
• Capacity optimisation

• AI assistants
• Workflow automation
• Service enhancement opportunities

The consultant should proactively identify opportunities and educate clients on what is possible.

Workforce & Cost Optimisation

Review opportunities relating to:

• Offshore vs local workforce structures
• Global delivery models
• Capacity optimisation
• Team redesign
• Outsourcing opportunities
• Future workforce planning
• AI-enabled operating models

Process Improvement & Transformation

Assess and recommend improvements relating to:

• Process redesign
• Standardisation
• Operational efficiency
• Manual effort reduction
• Workflow optimisation
• Future-state operating models

Consultancy Reporting & Recommendations

Produce client deliverables including:

• Operational Assessments
• AI Opportunity Reports
• Cost Saving Reviews
• Process Improvement Reports
• Future State Operating Models
• Executive Presentations
• Transformation Roadmaps
• Workforce Recommendations

• Facilitate virtual discovery workshops with UK clients
• Conduct operational reviews remotely
• Present findings and recommendations to leadership teams
• Translate opportunities into commercial value
• Build trusted advisor relationships
• Support consultancy growth initiatives
• Identify follow-on transformation opportunities

Experience & Skills Required

• 5+ years experience in one or more of the following:
• Operations Consulting
• Business Transformation
• Process Improvement
• Outsourcing / BPO
• Operational Excellence
• Workforce Transformation
• Shared Services
• Strong process mapping capability
• Commercial and cost optimisation mindset
• Experience producing reports and executive recommendations
• Strong stakeholder engagement skills
• Excellent written and spoken English
• Experience facilitating workshops

AI Capability Requirements

Candidates should demonstrate understanding and awareness of:

• Generative AI applications
• AI copilots
• Workflow automation
• AI productivity tools
• Process augmentation
• Business applications of AI
• Emerging AI opportunities

Technical implementation experience is not required, however the successful candidate must be confident identifying AI opportunities and advising clients on potential applications.

• Lean / Six Sigma certification
• Exposure to UK clients
• BPO / Shared Services leadership experience
• Transformation consulting background
• Exposure to AI initiatives
• Digital transformation experience
