Purpose:
- Responsible for the production of consolidated financial and/or regulatory reporting from a legal entity perspective for internal and external bodies, in accordance with statutory and regulatory requirements.
- The role holder will provide core finance support to achieving Accounting & Analysis (either Centre of Excellence or Country) or Line of Business ('LOB') deliverables.
Scope Specific:
- Revenue and / or Cost in relevant business areas is likely to be $100m+ depending on the specific role.
- Contacts are primarily within the department or function with occasional cross-functional interfaces. Some limited external customer contact on routine matters.
- Core tasks are typically well defined, but some problem resolution requiring clarification and judgement is likely to be required.
- Examples of external contacts: Audit companies, tax and fiscal authorities, legal and outsourced services.
- Examples of internal contacts: Finance teams in country and Centre of Excellence.
Scope General:
- Performs routine assignments in entry level of the professional career band
- Typically, a graduate, although may have progressed into the role via equivalent business experience that provide knowledge and exposure to fundamental, theories, principles, and concepts
- Professional roles will typically require a degree in their specific discipline which may apply to specific positions.
- Receives instruction, guidance and direction from others
- Limited decision-making authority guided by policies, procedures, and business operations protocol
Primary Responsibilities:
- Supports all reporting and accounting activities. Tasks likely to include:
- Assist with the preparation of reported results and supporting schedules.
- Assist in the preparation of Standard Analysis to understand variances to outlook and trend.
- Assist with preparation of outlooks and plans.
- Provide support to external and internal audit activities and internal controls testing to meet the requirements of internal controls and SARBOX.
- Assist with ad-hoc analysis, helping to provide accurate and insightful business analysis and support Business Reviews.
- Participate in LoB specific financial analysis - business hydraulics, tracking of improvement initiatives etc.
- Participate in specific LoB activities to support business planning. Examples include the calculation and validation of LoB factors, business modelling, and contract change impact analysis.
- Support the out-sourced provider with the resolution of escalations (Intercompany, Accounts Payable, Fixed Assets).
