Primary duties include bookkeeping, FS preparation, preparation and filing of government-mandated reports ( BIR, SSS, PHIC, PEZA, etc)- Plans and supervises the activities of the Accounting Section in coordination with the Finance Manager.
- Checks and approves reports generated by the accounting staff.
- Prepares monthly schedules of accruals of brokerage, freight and insurance charges (FILCI, , FEDEX, Airfreight 2100, DHL, Clients First, and others).
- Prepares summaries of freight/courier charges for shipment of products, samples, mailing documents.
- Prepares month end general journal entries.
- Checks payroll reports.
- Prepares bank reconciliation statements.
- Prepares monthly/quarterly/ annual PEZA reports.
- Prepares monthly/ annual NSO reports.
- Prepares petty cash replenishment reports
- Prepares monthly schedule of remittances to BIR, HomeCredit, SunLife, St. Peter, and others
- Prepares details of expenses for input to Budget Review and CMT Cost Analysis.
- Prepares payroll for regular employees.
- Coordinates with banks and government agencies regarding cash and investment and other treasury functions (eg. Payroll).
- Acts as the representative in meetings pertaining to related functions.
- Recommends enhancements in accounting procedures and internal control system to the Finance Manager.
Qualifications/Requirements
Proficiency in MS Word, PowerPoint & Excel.Good communication and relationship management skills
Honesty, integrity, and sound judgment
Ability to work independently and confidently
