Overview

The Accounting Supervisor oversees daily accounting operations and ensures compliance with Philippine financial regulations. This role requires strong experience with the Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR) processes and proficiency in QuickBooks for managing financial transactions and reports.

• Supervise and manage daily accounting activities, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll.
• Ensure accurate and timely preparation of financial statements and management reports.
• Oversee BIR compliance, including preparation, filing, and reconciliation of VAT, withholding tax, and income tax returns.
• Manage eFPS/eBIRForms submissions and ensure adherence to all BIR deadlines and requirements.
• Use QuickBooks to record, reconcile, and generate financial data, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
• Review journal entries, reconciliations, and supporting schedules prepared by the team.
• Coordinate with auditors, government agencies, and tax authorities during audits or assessments.
• Develop, implement, and maintain internal controls to safeguard assets and ensure compliance.
• Provide training and mentorship to accounting staff, particularly on BIR processes and QuickBooks usage.
• Support management in budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.

• Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy, Finance, or related field (CPA preferred).
• Proven experience as an Accounting Supervisor, Senior Accountant, or similar role.
• Strong knowledge and hands-on experience with BIR regulations, reporting, and compliance.
• Proficiency in QuickBooks and MS Excel
• Experience preparing and filing BIR tax returns and handling audits or assessments.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to work under strict deadlines.
• Leadership skills with the ability to supervise and develop accounting staff.
