Accounting Supervisor

Job Summary:

The Accounting Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the accounting department, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting, and supporting compliance with accounting standards and company policies. In the automotive industry, this role plays a key part in monitoring sales, service, and parts financial transactions to support business growth and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise day-to-day accounting functions including accounts receivable, accounts payable, general ledger, and payroll.
• Monitor branch and company financial transactions related to vehicle sales, service, and parts.
• Review and reconcile financial records to ensure accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
• Prepare and analyze financial reports, monthly statements, and management reports.
• Support external and internal audit requirements by ensuring proper documentation and record-keeping.
• Assist in budget preparation, expense monitoring, and financial forecasting.
• Ensure compliance with government regulations on tax, BIR filings, and other statutory requirements.
• Supervise and mentor accounting staff, providing guidance and training.
• Coordinate with other departments (Admin, Sales, Service, Parts) to resolve financial discrepancies and provide support.
• Implement and monitor internal controls to safeguard company assets.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy, Finance, or related field.
• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license preferred but not required.
• At least 3 years of relevant experience in accounting, with 1–2 years in a supervisory role (automotive industry experience is an advantage).
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, practices, and financial reporting.
• Proficient in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, or similar) and MS Office applications.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and leadership skills.
• Strong understanding of BIR compliance and other tax regulations.
