About the role
Polystar General Services Inc. is seeking a skilled and dedicated Mechanical Engineer to join our engineering team in Makati City, Metro Manila. This is a full-time position that plays a crucial role in the design, development, and implementation of mechanical systems and solutions.As a Mechanical Engineer, you will be instrumental in driving innovation and ensuring the technical excellence of our projects, contributing directly to the company's growth and success in the competitive engineering sector.
Key responsibilities- Design and develop mechanical systems and components using computer-aided design (CAD) software and engineering principles
- Conduct feasibility studies and technical analyses to evaluate project requirements and constraints
- Prepare detailed technical drawings, specifications, and documentation for manufacturing and construction
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including project managers, technicians, and other engineers to ensure project delivery
- Perform calculations for structural integrity, stress analysis, and thermal performance
- Oversee testing and quality assurance processes to ensure products and systems meet safety and performance standards
- Troubleshoot mechanical failures and provide solutions to optimise system performance
- Maintain compliance with relevant industry standards, regulations, and safety protocols
- Liaise with clients and suppliers to communicate technical requirements and project updates
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and process optimisation
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline from a recognised institution
- Proven experience as a Mechanical Engineer, preferably 2-5 years in design, manufacturing, or project-based environments
- Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar tools)
- Strong understanding of mechanical design principles, thermodynamics, and materials science
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Knowledge of industry standards and safety regulations applicable to mechanical engineering
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively in team environments
- Project management experience and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
- Professional engineering licensure (P.E.) is preferred but not mandatory
- Experience with simulation software and finite element analysis (FEA) is advantageous
