Buyer / Procurement Operations Specialist

Job Summary

We are looking for a detail-oriented Buyer / Procurement Operations Specialist to support the organization's procurement and supply chain operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for sourcing suppliers, processing purchase requests, negotiating commercial terms, coordinating deliveries, and ensuring timely procurement of materials and services while maintaining compliance with company policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and process purchase requisitions, purchase orders, requests for quotations (RFQs), and bid evaluations.
  • Source and evaluate suppliers based on pricing, quality, lead time, and service capabilities.
  • Coordinate with suppliers regarding quotations, technical and commercial requirements, and delivery schedules.
  • Negotiate pricing, payment terms, and delivery timelines to achieve cost-effective procurement.
  • Monitor purchase orders and supplier deliveries to ensure on-time fulfillment.
  • Coordinate with Engineering, Operations, Warehouse, Finance, and other internal stakeholders to support procurement requirements.
  • Maintain accurate procurement records, supplier databases, and ERP/procurement systems.
  • Resolve procurement-related issues, including delivery delays and supplier concerns.
  • Ensure procurement activities comply with company policies, procurement procedures, and ethical standards.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance procurement efficiency and supplier performance.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Logistics, or a related field.
  • At least 1–2 years of experience in procurement, purchasing, supply chain, or related functions.
  • Experience preparing purchase orders, RFQs, supplier evaluations, and procurement documentation.
  • Strong negotiation, analytical, and vendor management skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications; experience using ERP or procurement systems is an advantage.
  • Excellent organizational, multitasking, and time management skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • High level of integrity, discretion, and professionalism when handling confidential information.
  • Able to work independently in a fast-paced environment while effectively collaborating with cross-functional teams.
