Art Appreciation Instructor

Job Summary

The Art Appreciation Instructor will guide students in developing a deeper understanding and appreciation of art through critical reflection, discussion, and creative exploration. The course examines the relationship between the artwork, artist, audience, institutions, and the value of art while encouraging students to conceptualize and produce their own creative work documented through a process book.

• Teaching experience in higher education is an advantage
• Industry experience in visual arts, design, illustration, multimedia, or creative practice is preferred
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
• Passion for mentoring and inspiring students through art and creativity

• Deliver engaging and learner-centered Art Appreciation classes
• Facilitate discussions on art, culture, creativity, and visual literacy
• Prepare lesson plans, assessments, and learning materials aligned with the curriculum
• Guide students in conceptualizing and creating their own artwork and process book
• Evaluate student performance and provide constructive feedback
• Foster an inclusive and collaborative classroom environment
