Job description:
Purpose Statement:
The position is responsible for the implementation of project activities of the Resilience and Adaptation to Climate Hazards (REACH) Project in partnership with the IFRC and ZCRA. Specifically the (1) information dissemination on the program and PRC, (2) supervision, engagement, and retention of RC143 Volunteers of the project, and (3) coordination, implementation, and reporting of project activities.
Duties and Responsibilities:
A. Program Management- Coordinate/implement at least one activity under the project per month
- Coordination for the project in Municipal/City Level, Chapter/Branch level with guidance from NHQ project staff
- Plan and carry out activities on time and according to budget provided
- Build rapport and establish constant relationship with stakeholders
- Prepare/contributes to the activity proposal for checking of CSR SS/DMS and Branch Coordinator, and Recommending Approval of the Chapter Administrator
- Discuss among the project team, BranchCoordinator/Chapter Administrator, and CSRs regarding the activities identified
- Work closely with Branch CSR SS/DMS and volunteers with the planning and implementation of activities as well as with other CSRs that scopes of service are relevant to activities
- Assist/participate in Chapter/Branch program and activities as deemed necessary
- Reports clearly to NPC/NPO, CSR-DMS, BC and CA for necessary project concerns and updates
- Ensures that successes and weaknesses of the projects are properly reported to the National Project Team
- Conduct regular project team meetings every month or as agreed upon
- Accomplish and track all administration documents and its record keeping
- Ensure clear communication, knowledge, and administrative information sharing between project staff
- Check on the prepared reports on progress, administration, accounts and budgets as required by the Chapter and NHQ
- Ensure that reports are submitted as per set schedules and project activities, indicators, and achievements are produced in quality
- Facilitate the accomplishment of purchases, procurements, quotations and CBAs for submission
- Assist Chapter Finance Officer of the project and NHQ project team in the accomplishment of activity reports and liquidation attachments
Work Experience & Skills:
- Experience of working across different sectors and developing links with other agencies (required)
- Experience of project management or coordination experience (required)
- Experience with PRC as a staff member or volunteer (preferred)
- Understanding of volunteer management programs and goals (preferred)
