Job Overview

The IT Officersupports the IT department's operations by assisting with the procurement of IT equipment, providing production support, and contributing to technical services policies and practices. This role works closely with the corporate and operations staff to ensure the smooth and secure operation of IT systems.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Assist in the implementation of security and technology initiatives within the organization.
  • Assist in managing crisis situations involving technical hardware or software problems.
  • Support in directing and coordinating the work of IT personnel across security, network, systems, and technical support.
  • Contribute to the development of strategic IT plans by researching technological and financial opportunities and assisting with objective setting.
  • Aid in achieving departmental objectives by supporting the establishment of plans, budgets, and results measurements, and tracking progress.
  • Evaluate user needs and system functionality, helping to ensure IT facilities meet organizational requirements.
  • Support the planning and implementation of the IT budget, including obtaining competitive prices from suppliers to ensure cost-effectiveness.
  • Schedule and oversee upgrades and security backups of hardware and software systems.
  • Research and propose new systems and technologies to enhance IT infrastructure.
  • Ensure the smooth running of all IT systems, including anti-virus software, print services, and email provision.
  • Verify adherence to software licensing laws.
  • Provide secure access to the network for remote users.
  • Offer appropriate IT support and advice to users.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Engineering, Information Technology or equivalent
  • At least 2-3 years of experience in IT support, system administration, or network operations at FMCG or Coffee and Beverage Industry.
  • Strong knowledge of network setup, troubleshooting, and monitoring (routers and switches)
  • Experience supporting POS systems and retail IT environments
  • Basic knowledge of cloud-based systems and backend operations
  • Experience in CCTV installation, configuration, and monitoring
  • Familiarity with payment system integration and transaction support is an advantage
  • Ability to create SOPs, documentation, and IT operational guidelines
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Good communication skills and ability to support non-technical users
  • Willingness to support multiple branches and handle store openings
