Job description
The Territory Activation Manager’s objective is to increase collected volume of Used Beverage Cartons (UBC) for recycling in a target territory. This includes improving the awareness that UBCs are a paper recyclable and working with waste trade value chain actors (VCAs) like junk shops, private haulers, material recovery facilities (MRFs), waste pickers and their associations, local government units, to ensure the collection of UBCs for recycling.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Value Chain Integration- Facilitate connections between the different actors in the value chain to ensure efficient collection and transportation of Used Beverage Cartons for recycling
- Identify and manage key value chain actors that can contribute to a robust value chain for UBC collection. This includes providing on-ground insights and program proposals to improve field operations.
- Provide accurate records of all VCAs in the assigned territory, track their activities, and report key information regularly.
- Identify specific needs and gaps among VCAs to help them start, improve, or scale up UBC collection operations.
- Actively engage with municipalities and relevant local authorities to foster their participation in and support for UBC collection initiatives.
- Monitor and verify quantities and pricing of collected UBC materials to ensure transparency and fair practices.
- Provide guidance and support to VCAs to improve the quality and handling of collected UBCs, aiming to increase their recycling value and transport efficiency.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with current and potential VCAs, fostering trust and long-term collaboration.
Qualifications:
- With Bachelor’s degree in Business Studies/Administration/Management, Marketing or equivalent.
- With at least 2-3 years working as Activation Manager or Sustainability Manager or any relevant experience
- Ability to use Microsoft Office programs
- Excellent communication and people skills
- Good organizational skills and time management skills
- Willing to be assigned or travel in Central / North Luzon
- The candidate must reside in Pampanga.
