Job Summary

The Account Manager is responsible for developing and maintaining strong relationships with customers, generating truck sales opportunities, and achieving sales targets for Shacman trucks. The role involves managing existing accounts, identifying new business opportunities, conducting product presentations, preparing quotations, and ensuring excellent customer service throughout the sales process and after-sales support.

Duties and Responsibilities

Sales and Business Development
  • Promote and sell Shacman trucks and related products to prospective and existing clients.
  • Identify and develop new business opportunities in various industries such as logistics, construction, mining, hauling, and transportation.
  • Conduct regular client visits, presentations, and product demonstrations.
  • Prepare and submit sales proposals, quotations, and contract agreements.
  • Negotiate pricing, payment terms, and other commercial arrangements within company guidelines.
  • Achieve assigned monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets.
Account Management
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key accounts and decision-makers.
  • Monitor customer requirements and recommend suitable truck models and configurations.
  • Ensure customer satisfaction by providing timely responses to inquiries and concerns.
  • Conduct regular account reviews and identify opportunities for repeat sales and fleet expansion.
  • Maintain accurate customer records and sales activities in the company's CRM system.
Market Intelligence
  • Monitor industry trends, competitor activities, and market developments.
  • Gather customer feedback regarding product performance and market requirements.
  • Provide recommendations to management on market opportunities and sales strategies.
Coordination and After-Sales Support
  • Coordinate with the Operations, Service, Parts, and Finance Departments to ensure smooth delivery and customer support.
  • Assist customers with documentation, financing requirements, vehicle registration, and delivery processes.
  • Follow up on after-sales concerns and coordinate resolutions with the appropriate departments.
  • Ensure proper turnover and orientation of delivered units to customers.
Reporting
  • Prepare and submit sales forecasts, activity reports, and account updates.
  • Maintain accurate records of sales pipelines, opportunities, and customer interactions.
  • Participate in sales meetings, training programs, and company events.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Engineering, or any related field.
  • At least 2–3 years of sales or account management experience, preferably in commercial vehicles, trucks, heavy equipment, automotive, or related industries.
  • Strong negotiation, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Knowledge of truck specifications, fleet operations, and transportation industry practices is an advantage.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and CRM systems.
  • Possesses a valid driver's license and is willing to travel extensively for client visits.
  • Results-oriented, self-motivated, and capable of working independently.
