ROLE - JOB DEFINITION

The SENIOR PURCHASING OFFICER (NONFOOD) contributes to TMG’s success by aggressively seek and transact with prospect suppliers for a more cost saving and efficient level of service. Ensures that Purchase Orders are supported by Purchase Requests and that deliveries of goods assigned are delivered on time and based from the agreed quality.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Source alternative and reliable supplier on assigned category as needed or requested by the Purchasing Manager.
• Attend to trade show and conference as needed or as requested by the Purchasing Manager.
• Conduct monthly price comparison for meat in Balintawak and farmers market to ensure that the organization are getting the best value for their money.
• Negotiate with new and existing suppliers resulting to economics savings and increased service level.
• Generate savings report based on the new negotiated price and new sources in an accurate, complete, and timely manner.
• Ensure all deliveries arrived on time based from the quality and standards set by the Supply Chain Management on goods.
• Make sure all Purchase Order are supported by Purchase Request all the time.
• Resolve all inquiry, concerns or quality issue on time and in courteous manner.
• Assist Purchasing Manager to enhance the purchasing system as needed or requested.
• Assist in developing procurement system in line with NAV system as needed or as requested.

Qualifications:

• Over 3 years of Purchasing experience in the Food and Beverage industry
• Negotiation skills with suppliers and vendors
• People management experience
• Proven inventory and warehouse management experience
• Keen to details and can handle multiple accounts
• Ensures that suppliers are able to deliver the goods needed by the organization in terms of required quantity and established quality.
