About the role
The Business Development Manager (BDM) will be a critical driver of new business opportunities and client base expansion within the US tech sector. This role requires a highly motivated individual who can strategically identify and pursue new clients, build strong relationships, and contribute significantly to our sales targets.The BDM will operate with flexibility to accommodate US market hours and work independently while collaborating closely with our internal teams.
What youʼll do- Proactively identify, research, and pursue new business opportunities within the technology sector with the US and/or UK market
- Develop and execute comprehensive business development strategies and tactical plans to achieve and exceed ambitious sales targets, broadening our market presence.
- Cultivate and nurture strong, long-lasting relationships with prospective clients, understanding their unique talent acquisition challenges and positioning our bespoke solutions effectively.
- Collaborate closely with our expert recruitment teams to ensure seamless alignment between client needs, market trends, and our candidate sourcing strategies.
- Conduct in-depth market analysis to identify emerging trends, competitive landscapes, and untapped growth opportunities within the tech recruitment space.
- Lead the entire sales cycle from initial outreach and qualification to proposal development, negotiation, and successful deal closure.
- 3+ years of demonstrated success in Business Development or Sales, ideally within the recruitment, staffing, or professional services industry, with a strong focus on the tech sector.
- Ability to work flexible hours to accommodate interactions with clients and prospects across different US and UK time zones.
- A genuine passion for technology and a deep understanding of its various sectors (e.g., SaaS, AI, FinTech, Cybersecurity, Cloud Computing).
- Familiarity with CRM software (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot) and sales enablement tools.
- Demonstrated ability to identify, engage, and influence senior-level decision makers
- Exceptional communication, presentation, and negotiation skills, with the ability to articulate complex solutions clearly and persuasively.
- Self-motivated, highly organized, and able to work autonomously to manage a robust sales pipeline and consistently achieve targets.
- A strategic thinker with a proactive approach to identifying market opportunities and developing actionable plans for growth.
