Auto Repair Technician

Job Summary

The Auto Repair Technician is responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining company vehicles to ensure their safe, reliable, and efficient operation. The position involves troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, and electronic systems, performing corrective repairs, and ensuring all repair work meets company and industry standards.

• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and electronic faults in vehicles and equipment.
• Perform repairs on engines, transmissions, brakes, steering systems, suspension systems, and other vehicle components.
• Conduct troubleshooting using diagnostic tools and equipment.
• Repair or replace defective parts, components, and assemblies.
• Perform vehicle inspections to determine repair requirements and safety compliance.
• Test-drive vehicles before and after repairs to verify proper operation.
• Maintain accurate records of repairs, parts used, labor hours, and service recommendations.
• Coordinate with the Maintenance Supervisor regarding major repairs and parts requirements.
• Ensure repairs are completed within established timelines and quality standards.
• Follow manufacturer's repair procedures and company maintenance policies.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the workshop and repair area.
• Observe all safety regulations and proper handling of tools, equipment, and hazardous materials.
• Provide technical recommendations to prevent recurring vehicle issues.

• Graduate of Automotive Technology, Automotive Servicing, Mechanical Technology, or a related field.
• TESDA NC II in Automotive Servicing is preferred.
• At least 2 years of experience in automotive repair and diagnostics.
• Knowledge of gasoline and diesel engine repair.
• Familiarity with automotive electrical systems and diagnostic equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and repair specifications.
• Valid driver's license is an advantage.
