Senior Accountant

Job Summary

We are seeking a seasoned accounting professional to join our newly established services company in Manila as a Senior General Accountant. The ideal candidate will be responsible for:

• Setting up accounting practices aligned with group-level requirements and local compliance standards.
• Delivering month-end financial reports in an accurate and timely manner.
• Ensuring clear and effective communication with both local and overseas group management.
• Performing additional tasks assigned by senior management to support company growth.

• Oversee and execute monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing activities in a timely and accurate manner.
• Ensure full compliance with internal and external audit requirements, maintaining effective communication with local and offshore management.
• Maintain and update Fixed Asset registers, schedules, and related computations.
• Review and validate journal entries prepared by the Junior General Accountant.
• Establish accounting practices and support the development and implementation of accounting and finance procedures in adherence to local compliance regulations.
• Prepare and maintain management reports, compliance-related documentation, and intercompany transaction schedules.
• Assist in the preparation, computation, and validation of all applicable taxes related to business operations.
• Provide support for banking transactions and related financial activities.
• Participate in and lead special projects as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field , CPA or CMA or equivalent certification preferred.
• 5-7 years of experience in general accounting roles
• Strong understanding of accounting principles
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
• Effective communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally
• Familiarity with Accounting Systems (SAP)
