Job description:
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES (Accounting Duties)- Bank Reconciliations
- Credit Card Reconciliations
- Balance Sheet Reconciliations including Prepayments, Accruals and Deposits
- Management of Intercompany Loan Accounts
- Fixed Asset Register Maintenance including calculating gain/loss on disposal of assets
- Compliance work such as preparation of BAS and FBT returns
- General Journals, Recurring Journals and Depreciation Journals
- Reconciliation of Payables, Receivables and Stock Sub-Ledgers
- Calculate Monthly and Volume-Incentive Rebates for customers
- Cashflow Management for both AU/NZ entities
- Create and Design new Balance Sheet Schedules where identified/required
- Assist CFO with Profit & Loss queries for preparation of Month-End Reports
- Assist CFO in preparation of Budget
- Assist with Year-end Audits
- Assist CFO and other Senior Personnel with Reporting and Analysis when required
- Responsible for the general debt collection as set out in the Company Credit Policy
- Responsible for the receipt and accurate allocation of all account receivables
- Responsible to promptly process all new account applications
- Responsible to ensure that all accounts are covered by the company insurance policy and advise management of any debtors that are not protected
- Manage the accurate and timely entering and updating of customer price rules as required by sales staff
- Management of the pricing and price rules of all products on promotional or special
- Responsible for the filing and archiving of all relevant customer documents and records
- Processing of Supplier Invoices in Lentune system
- Process Monthly Payment run
- Process payments to customs and overseas suppliers
- Creation and management of creditor accounts
- Create deposit entries on Purchase Orders when overseas payments are made
- Manage and main Co’s ERP system (Netsuite)
- Identify continuous improvement opportunities.
- Support the management team on other business projects as required.
- To carry out any other duties which are within the employee’s skills and abilities whenever reasonably instructed.
Qualification and requirements:
To be successful in this role you will have:
- Must have prior Netsuite working experience (min 2 years)
- 3+ years’ experience in an accounting role delivering month end and related reporting
- Advance skills in Microsoft Excel
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with an ability to communicate with key stakeholders
- Demonstrated ability to manage conflicting tasks to meet expectations
- Self‐motivated with a strong attention to detail
- Excellent organizational skills and time management skills.
- Ability to work autonomously and within a team.
Non-negotiable skills & requirements:
- A good Management Accountant / System Accountant with Netsuite experience (a must) with 3-5 years Netsuite experience and preferably a CPA and advanced Excel skills.
- 3+ years of proven experience in financial management and reporting
- Strong understanding of financial regulations and risk management
- Proficiency in financial management and analysis software
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field
