An Accounting Assistant provides essential support to the accounting department, handling a range of tasks from data entry and record-keeping to assisting with financial reports and reconciliations. They work under the supervision of senior accountants, ensuring accurate financial record-keeping and compliance with company policies.
Key responsibilities:Maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records, including general ledgers, accounts payable and receivable, and other relevant financial documents.
Invoice and Payment Processing: Preparing, processing, and verifying invoices, payments, and other financial transactions.
Administrative Support: Performing basic administrative tasks, such as filing, answering phones, and assisting with other departmental needs.
Payroll Processing: Assisting with payroll processing, including preparing employee salaries.
Qualifications/Requirements
Graduate of Accountancy or Finance
Analytical and problem-solving skills
Attention to detail
Proficiency in accounting software
Good communication skills
Basic bookkeeping knowledge
Computer literacy
