- Source, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers to achieve cost savings and ensure quality standards and timely delivery of goods and services
- Manage and maintain an accurate inventory of goods and materials
- Ensure compliance with purchasing policies and procedures
- Coordinate with other departments to plan and prioritize purchasing activities
- Process purchase orders and invoices
- Maintain strong relationships with suppliers and vendors
- Analyze and report on purchasing activity and spending
- Performs the payables function
- Graduate of any business-related course
- With at least 1 year of purchasing work-related experience, preferably gained from a manufacturing or construction industry set-up
- Has good communication and interpersonal skills, with a keen eye for details, and with a strong work ethic
