Mechanical Engineer (Master Plumber)

The Mechanical Engineer (Master Plumber) is responsible for overseeing the operation, maintenance, and installation of all mechanical and plumbing systems within the hotel or resort. This role ensures efficient, safe, and uninterrupted operation of water, sewage, and mechanical systems to support daily operations and guest satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee and maintain all plumbing systems including water supply, drainage, sewage, and pumps
• Conduct regular inspections and preventive maintenance of mechanical and plumbing systems
• Ensure compliance with local building codes, plumbing standards, and safety regulations
• Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical and plumbing issues promptly
• Supervise installation, repair, and upgrading of mechanical and plumbing systems
• Coordinate with contractors and suppliers for projects and maintenance works
• Monitor water usage and recommend cost-saving and efficiency improvements
• Prepare maintenance schedules, reports, and cost estimates
• Support overall engineering operations of the property

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering
• Licensed Mechanical Engineer
• With valid Master Plumber Certification (required)
• At least 2–3 years of experience in mechanical and plumbing works, preferably in a hotel or resort setting
• Strong knowledge of plumbing systems, water distribution, and mechanical maintenance
• Familiar with building codes, safety standards, and preventive maintenance programs
• Proficient in MS Office; AutoCAD is an advantage
• Strong problem-solving and coordination skills
• Willing to work on-site and on shifting schedules

Preferred Skills:

• Experience in hospitality or resort operations
• Knowledge of HVAC systems (advantage)
• Good leadership and communication skills
• Ability to handle multiple maintenance projects
