Mechanical engineer (general)

Job Description

• Provide hardware solutions for semiconductor test interfaces of next-generation devices, supporting global customers
• Collaborate with global engineering teams to define mechanical product requirements, and conceptualize, evaluate, and select technical solutions for complex and highly integrated mechanical engineering challenges
• Execute advanced mechanical design and perform mechanical evaluations in collaboration with PCB design teams to achieve high-quality hardware solutions aligned with semiconductor test requirements
• Conduct tolerance analysis and mechanical engineering evaluations to support detailed design concepts and implementation
• Lead end-to-end global hardware project management to ensure high quality standards and on-time delivery
• Partner closely with DIS Tech’s global supply chain to address Design for Manufacturing (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA) challenges, ensuring timely delivery and high first-pass yield
• Drive new technology research, including evaluation of new materials and product concepts for next-generation device testing

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Mechanical-Electrical Integration, Mechanical Engineering & Automation, or related field
• 2–4 years of experience in mechanical design or related roles
• Proficiency in CAD tools such as SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Creo, or similar
• Familiarity with precision mechanical design and tolerance analysis methodologies
• Experience or knowledge in PCB or embedded system structural design is an advantage
• Strong communication skills, with good written and spoken English
• High attention to detail and strong sense of accuracy
• Strong problem-solving skills with an open and adaptable mindset
• Ability to work effectively in a cross-functional and collaborative team environment
• Willingness and ability to travel overseas for extended periods
