About the Role:

We are seeking a highly motivated HR Generalist with a unique skill set: fluency in Japanese and English. Based in our Manila office, this role is a crucial bridge between our local team and our Japanese-speaking stakeholders, partners, or internal teams.

The ideal candidate will handle a wide range of HR functions while ensuring seamless, cross-cultural communication.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Employee Relations & Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact for HR inquiries, addressing employee concerns and providing clear guidance in both English and Japanese. You'll facilitate effective communication between different cultural groups within the organization.
  • Recruitment & Onboarding: Manage the full recruitment life cycle for positions that require Japanese language skills. This includes writing job descriptions, sourcing candidates, conducting interviews, and ensuring a smooth onboarding experience.
  • HR Administration & Compliance: Handle daily HR tasks such as maintaining employee records, processing leaves, and assisting with payroll administration. You'll ensure all practices comply with Philippine labor laws while aligning with global company policies.
  • Training & Development: Coordinate and support training initiatives for employees, particularly those related to language, culture, or specific business practices relevant to our Japanese counterparts.
  • Translation & Interpretation: Translate HR documents, policies, and communications between English and Japanese to ensure clarity and accuracy for all parties.
Qualifications
  • Language Skills: Full professional fluency in both Japanese and English (reading, writing, and speaking) is required.
  • Experience: A bachelor's degree in Human Resources or a related field, with a minimum of 1 - 2 years of experience as an HR Generalist.
  • Technical Skills: Proficient in HR Information Systems (HRIS) and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Soft Skills: Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving abilities. You must be able to handle confidential information with discretion and build strong, trusting relationships.
