Position Summary
The Staff Accountant plays a key role in the financial operations of the organization, ensuring accuracy and compliance with the accounting processes for multiple small business clients. This position is responsible for maintaining financial records and preparing reports.The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a solid understanding of accounting principles and the ability to work with a diverse client base across multiple industries.

Key Responsibilities- Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts to ensure accuracy in financial reporting.
- Prepare and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow reports.
- Assist in month-end and year-end closing processes, including journal entries and adjustments.
- Monitor and report on financial discrepancies and recommend corrective actions.
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field required.
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in accounting or a related field is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, practices, and regulations.
- Demonstrable proficiency in one or more small business software packages like Xero and Quick Books Online (QBO)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel).
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and critical thinking skills.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Strong customer service focus needed for dealing with a diverse client base.
- This position is remote-only.
