What You'll Do in the Role
Job Summary
We are seeking a highly capable and solutions-focused Technical Support Engineer / Systems Administrator to manage and support our Sage X3 ERP system. This role is critical to ensuring smooth day-to-day operations across various departments by providing timely support, managing users and licenses, facilitating UAT sessions, troubleshooting system errors, and maintaining the integrity of data and transactions within the system.
Key Responsibilities
User Management & Access Control- Manage Sage X3 licenses, ensuring correct user allocations and resolving login issues.
- Set up and deactivate users, reset passwords, and manage user roles and access rights.
- Maintain and update user tables, including common data tables.
- Set up new work teams (e.g., PA / PB / PC) and product categories (e.g., DRG / CNS / FRZ).
- Troubleshoot and resolve user-reported issues including error messages and report queries.
- Conduct system housekeeping to maintain performance and data accuracy.
- Investigate and resolve MRP rollback errors.
- Modify product and product-site master data, including routings, lead times, and work teams.
- Simulate pilot environments and dummy transactions to validate business processes.
- Conduct and support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) sessions.
- Track production activities and investigate issues related to work orders and component usage.
- Monitor and investigate anomalies using ZAP Productivity Reports.
- Handle miscellaneous transactions within Sage X3.
- Raise purchase orders and validate/deliver inventory against sales orders.
- Support backdoor processes for closing work orders and managing stock status.
- Handle stock by lot, customer sales orders, and inventory ordering inquiries.
- Investigate issues with work order generation, quantity discrepancies, or missing WOs.
- Deliver one-on-one or group training on Sage X3 functionalities.
- Create and maintain support documentation and training materials as needed.
- 3 to 5 years of experience in Sage X3 administration or technical support role.
- Strong knowledge of ERP systems, preferably Sage X3
- Hands-on experience with user and license management, system troubleshooting, and data management within an ERP environment.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- High attention to detail and a structured approach to troubleshooting.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Able to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
