About the role

This position is essential to our commitment to providing high-quality, individualised education tailored to each student's unique needs and learning pace.

• Develop and deliver personalised lesson plans tailored to individual student needs, learning styles and academic objectives
• Conduct one-on-one tutoring sessions in designated subject areas, ensuring comprehensive understanding of concepts and skills
• Assess student progress regularly through informal and formal assessments, adjusting teaching strategies as needed
• Identify areas where students require additional support and implement targeted interventions
• Maintain detailed records of student attendance, progress and academic development
• Communicate regularly with parents or guardians regarding student performance, strengths and areas for improvement
• Prepare teaching materials, resources and homework assignments that reinforce classroom learning
• Foster a positive, encouraging and supportive learning environment that motivates students to excel
• Stay current with educational best practices and incorporate innovative teaching methods where appropriate

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Education, relevant subject area or a related discipline
• Minimum 2 years of tutoring or teaching experience in a formal or informal setting
• Strong subject matter expertise in one or more core academic areas (Mathematics, English, Science, Social Studies or other specialised subjects)
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to explain complex concepts in clear, accessible language
• Demonstrated ability to adapt teaching methods to accommodate diverse learning styles and abilities
• Patience, empathy and genuine passion for student development and academic success
• Strong organisational and time-management skills
• Ability to work independently and manage student caseloads effectively
• Proficiency in using educational technology and digital learning platforms is advantageous
• Possession of relevant teaching certifications or qualifications is preferred
