Project Engineer for Data Center

Areas of responsibility may include, but are not limited to, activities related to the project supervision, coordination with PMO for PMO lead projects, shop drawings and schematic diagram generations, supervision of third-party subcontractors and in-house technicians, testing and commissioning of systems under SSIG.

• Installation of Data center infrastructure (racks, PDUs, UPS support systems)
• Structured cabling (copper & fiber)
• CCTV, access control, and security systems
• AV and auxiliary systems
• Oversees the installation, electrical roughing-ins, and wiring works, and assures all works by the nominated subcontractors and assures that all works complies with acceptable engineering standards and codes
• Facilitates the joint inspections with the client, third-party project proponents, general contractors, construction management teams, to assure successful testing and commissioning and project handover
• Ensures the safety of the project tea, subcontractors, and in-house technicians during the project implementation on official business hours.
• Attends to service and maintenance calls and follow-up upon completion
• Troubleshoots, evaluates and recommends equipment/service upgrades
• Coordinates maintenance efforts with outside contractors and technicians when work cannot be performed in-house. Coordinates for approvals of work orders that require the use of an outside contractor; maintains log of work order details
• Monitors and responsible for material management per project site, and maintains stock and inventory control
• Works with Management in planning and controlling project budgets on per project basis
• Familiarizes self with and conforms to all written operating procedures associated with every project site
• Coordinates with sales and engineering design team on every progress of the project to assure support from all stakeholders
• Prepares and submits accomplishment/status reports and minutes of meetings; attends departmental meetings, as required, on a regular basis
• Prepares annual budget for both operational and capital expenses pertinent to area/s of responsibility
• Complies with existing company policies, rules & regulations, as well as those to be introduced, at all times; promptly reports violations (whether suspected or confirmed) against them to Management
• Performs other related tasks assigned from time to time

Qualifications/Requirements

Qualifications:

• Licensed Electrical Engineer or Electronics and Communications Engineer
• At least three (3) years of experience in building auxiliary systems installations, engineering & equipment and systems maintenance
• Must be knowledgeable in understanding building plans (electrical, electronics, and mechanical)
• With a strong engineering implementation background
• Knowledgeable with CAD and MS Project or any related project management software
• Must be proficient in both verbal and written communication skills (English & Filipino)
• Has the ability to compose and present reports to all levels of management
