Preschool Teacher / Elementary Teacher

Under the direction of the School Head, the teacher shall be responsible for planning, preparing, and delivering lessons that support the academic, social, emotional, moral, and developmental growth of students. The teacher is expected to create a safe, nurturing, organized, and engaging classroom environment where learners are encouraged to participate, explore, ask questions, and develop foundational skills.
Key Responsibilities
The Teacher shall:
- Prepare and implement lesson plans aligned with the school’s curriculum, learning goals, and student needs.
- Deliver age-appropriate instruction in core subjects and learning areas using varied teaching strategies, activities, and materials.
- Create a positive, safe, respectful, and engaging classroom environment conducive to learning.
- Use developmentally appropriate methods, including play-based learning, storytelling, songs, games, hands-on activities, group work, and guided practice.
- Assess and monitor student progress through class activities, written work, performance tasks, observations, quizzes, and other appropriate tools.
- Maintain accurate and updated records, including attendance, grades, class records, assessment results, progress reports, and other required school documents.
- Provide support and enrichment activities for learners with different learning styles, abilities, and needs.
- Establish clear classroom routines, expectations, and behavior standards.
- Promote proper behavior, discipline, independence, responsibility, cooperation, and respect among learners.
- Communicate regularly and professionally with parents or guardians regarding student progress, behavior, concerns, and classroom matters.
- Coordinate with the School Head, co-teachers, and other school personnel regarding learner concerns, classroom activities, and school programs.
- Prepare instructional materials, worksheets, presentations, visual aids, classroom displays, and other learning resources.
- Participate in school activities, meetings, trainings, orientations, programs, and professional development sessions.
- Support school policies on child protection, student safety, data privacy, inclusive education, and professional conduct.
- Assist in the preparation and submission of school forms, reports, documentation, and other administrative requirements.
- Perform other related duties that may be assigned by the School Head or authorized school officer, consistent with the nature of the position.
