AREA SALES SPECIALIST

Professional Experience and Minimum Required

Qualifications:

  1. Candidate must be a graduate of Economics, Commerce, Marketing, Business Management or any related field from a university;
  2. At least 3 years of successful sales background in a Consumer Goods industry;
  3. Candidates must have a thorough understanding and exposure to Distributor accounts;
  4. Candidates should have analytical and problem-solving abilities, excellent communication skills, leadership skills, willingness to mentor and develop talent, and the ability to thrive under pressure;
  5. Must have a driver’s license and is flexible to do field works; those who are willing to be relocated get an advantage.

Role Summary:

  1. Ensures that account of assignment continues to grow in terms of scope, volume and number of accounts;
  2. Provides promo of activities and store sell-in plans and discuss opportunity to further grow the business;
  3. Provides and negotiates best deal programs;
  4. Plans and creates strategies to penetrate new accounts;
  5. Ensures that sales targets are achieved.

Accountabilities:

  1. Responsible for monitoring sales based on target set.
  2. Do field work with the Distributor Salesman.
  3. Assist Area Sales Manager or Area Sales Specialist in opening new accounts.
  4. Oversee Sales Promodisers.
  5. Monitors per store inventory.
  6. Gather relevant data from competition.
  7. Maintain and update relevant records.

Professional Experience and Required Qualifications:

  1. Candidate must be at least Bachelor’s/College degree in Marketing/Entrepreneurial/Management or any related course.
  2. Experience of at least 1-2 years in sales and consumer industry.
  3. Can interact with all levels of the organization.
  4. Must be a critical thinker, proactive, and with good communication skills.
  5. Knowledge in MS Office applications is an advantage.
