Senior IT Project Manager – Data Science, AI & BI (Banking Domain)

Job Description

We are hiring a Senior IT Project Manager to lead end-to-end initiatives focused on Data Science, Machine Learning, AI, and Business Intelligence in the banking domain. The role requires managing complex projects from RFP to implementation, ensuring business value and technical excellence while coordinating with business, IT, vendors, and support teams.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead solution evaluation for Data Science & AI initiatives.
• Oversee full project lifecycle – from vendor selection to delivery.
• Coordinate with internal teams, vendors, and compliance for system integration.
• Manage project documentation, status tracking, risk/issues, and milestone reporting.
• Ensure project alignment with business goals, IT standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Conduct and manage RFP, vendor accreditation, contract negotiations, and business case development.
• Prepare and present project updates to management and stakeholders.

Job Qualifications

Mandatory Requirements (Non-Negotiable):

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field.
• Minimum 15 years of experience in IT or a related industry.
• At least 10 years of project management experience in:
• System development
• Data warehouse & data management
• Business Intelligence (BI)
• Data Science / Machine Learning / AI
• Strong leadership, stakeholder engagement, and communication skills.
• Experience in building business cases and achieving stakeholder buy-in.
• Proven ability to manage multiple large-scale projects on time, within scope and budget.
• Proficient in project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Jira).
• Familiar with both Agile and Waterfall methodologies.
• Experience in banking projects preferred.
• Conscious of both project metrics and business value delivery.
