Job Responsibilities

As a Trainer and Sales Specialist for La Marzocco, you will serve as our primary technical coffee expert, brand advocate, and educator. You will drive commercial growth through high-level product mastery, client education, and technical presentation.

  • Product Mastery & Training: Serve as the primary technical expert and master trainer on the operation, care, and capabilities of the premium La Marzocco machine line.
  • Curriculum & Education: Develop and deliver comprehensive training modules to internal sales staff and external B2B clients on espresso extraction best practices, machine calibration, and daily maintenance specific to La Marzocco.
  • Direct Sales Execution: Actively engage with hospitality prospects, specialty café owners, and hotel managers to understand their setup needs, effectively upselling and cross-selling premium coffee equipment and accessories to hit sales targets.
  • Technical Advocacy: Act as a specialized product consultant during showroom demonstrations, effortlessly articulating the machine features, engineering benefits, and ROI to clients.
  • Operational Excellence: Execute elite-level barista skills by preparing premium coffee-based beverages (espresso, cappuccino, latte, and mocha) to the highest aesthetic and flavor standards during elite client viewings and corporate events.
  • Basic Technical Support: Demonstrate basic technical aptitude, including knowledge of Preventive Maintenance Services (PMS) and basic troubleshooting to guide clients on machine longevity.
  • Market Insight & Collaboration: Stay up-to-date with specialty coffee trends, techniques, and official La Marzocco machine updates. Coordinate with the wider kitchen equipment project teams to ensure seamless client turnover.
Qualifications
  • Education: Degree in Business, Marketing, Hotel and Restaurant Management (HRM), or a related technical field. Deep industry coffee certification is a distinct advantage.
  • Experience & Specialization: Minimum of 1 to 2 years of successful experience as an elite Barista, Technical Coffee Trainer, or Equipment Sales Specialist. Demonstrated experience and an intimate, hands-on knowledge using exclusively La Marzocco coffee machines is mandatory.
  • Sales & Technical Aptitude: Proven track record in B2B or high-ticket retail selling with the ability to articulate luxury product value, perform troubleshooting, and close equipment deals.
  • Communication: Exceptional presentation, public speaking, and communication skills necessary for delivering detailed product demonstrations and educational training.
  • Attributes: A results-oriented, customer-centric professional with an immense passion for the specialty coffee industry and an eye for strict technical detail.
