Role Overview

The Credit and Treasury Manager is responsible for the strategic management and control of customer credit exposure, ensuring alignment with business objectives while safeguarding the company’s financial position. This role plays a critical function in supporting sales growth through effective credit line administration, risk assessment, and policy development, while optimizing return on investment and maintaining compliance with internal and regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities

Credit Management & Risk Assessment
  • Evaluate and approve credit proposals for customers, ensuring sound risk assessment and alignment with company policies
  • Establish, implement, and monitor customer credit lines to support business growth while minimizing exposure
  • Review and process orders for accounts with overdues or overlimit, ensuring proper controls and approvals
Reporting & Analysis
  • Prepare and analyze credit-related reports, including:
  • Credit Performance Reports (per trade and consolidated)
  • Credit Utilization Reports
  • Credit Lines and Customer Profiles
  • Currency Listings Reports
  • Returned Checks Reports
  • Provide insights and recommendations based on credit data to support decision-making
Policy Development & Compliance
  • Conduct research and planning to enhance credit policies, procedures, and best practices
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls, company standards, and regulatory requirements
  • Continuously review and improve credit processes to strengthen risk management
Stakeholder Management
  • Collaborate with Sales, Finance, and other departments to align credit strategies with business objectives
  • Provide guidance on credit-related matters to internal stakeholders
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy
  • Must be a Certified Public Accountant (CPA)
  • Minimum of 6 years of relevant experience in Accounting, Treasury, or Credit Management
  • Strong analytical and financial risk assessment skills
  • Proficient in financial reporting and credit evaluation
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
