• building and maintaining fast, high-quality WordPress, WooCommerce and Shopify sites for our clients.

• building real, AI-powered features into those sites and our own products.

What You’ll Do

• Build and maintain high-performing WordPress sites using Divi 5 - responsive, fast, and built to last
• Develop and manage eCommerce stores in WooCommerce and Shopify
• Maintain WordPress core, themes, plugins and PHP across a portfolio of client sites
• Manage hosting, staging and deployments on WP Engine
• Customise and build themes and plugins to meet project requirements
• Keep sites secure, optimised for speed, and passing Core Web Vitals
• Implement technical SEO and Google Tag Manager tracking
• Test across browsers and devices so every site just works

• Build AI-powered features into client websites and our own products - chat, agents, lead capture, and content tools
• Integrate LLM APIs (Claude, OpenAI, Gemini) into real, production code
• Design prompts properly - structured outputs and tool use, not just chat prompts
• Connect AI features to the systems behind them - CRMs, databases, and APIs
• Write code you can read, debug and maintain - and explain to the rest of the team

• Write clean, maintainable code and follow sound development practice - version control, sensible structure, and testing where it counts
• Understand the systems you build, end to end - more than just generating code with an AI assistant
• Take ownership of quality across everything you ship

Who You Are

• Senior, proven web development experience - we’ll ask you to show us your work
• Strong hands-on WordPress and Divi 5 - building and maintaining production sites
• Solid WooCommerce and Shopify development
• Confident with PHP, HTML, CSS, JavaScript and Git
• Experience maintaining sites, plugins and hosting environments (WP Engine ideal)
• Mid-level AI integration experience - you can build LLM-powered features in real code, not wire up no-code tools
• A genuine understanding of software development best practice - or the appetite to learn it fast. You know more than just how to prompt an AI assistant.
• You ask questions, flag blockers early, and speak up - this is non-negotiable and you will be tested on it
• Strong English, comfortable working with a remote team and clients
• A dedicated remote workstation, strong internet and stable power

• Shipped an AI feature in production - an agent, chat, or workflow, not just a demo
• Familiar with TypeScript, React or Next.js
• Experience with prompt design patterns - structured outputs, tool use, streaming
• Background in a marketing agency or fast-paced delivery environment
• Connecting external data sources - databases, CRMs (Pipedrive a plus), and analytics
