Accounting staff (logistic and motor pool)
Job Summary
The Accounting Officer is responsible for monitoring, recording, and controlling all financial transactions related to logistics operations and motor pool activities. This includes fuel consumption, vehicle maintenance costs, repairs, and other transportation-related expenses to ensure accuracy, compliance, and cost efficiency.
Key Responsibilities- Financial Recording & Reporting
A Record all logistics and motor pool-related expenses and income (Profitability Report) in the accounting system
Prepare monthly expense reports for fuel, repairs, maintenance, and vehicle utilization
Ensure proper allocation of costs per project, department, or vehicle.- Budget Monitoring & Cost Control
Monitor budget utilization for logistics and motor pool operations.
Analyze variances between actual vs. budgeted expenses.
Recommend cost-saving measures and efficiency improvements.- Fuel & Maintenance Expense Management
Track fuel consumption and reconcile fuel issuances vs. actual usage
Verify supporting documents such as fuel receipts, trip tickets, and delivery logs
Monitor preventive maintenance schedules and related expenses- Asset & Vehicle Cost Monitoring
Maintain records of vehicle-related expenses per unit (cost per vehicle analysis).
Assist in monitoring vehicle depreciation and lifecycle costs.
Support inventory tracking of spare parts and materials.- Internal Controls & Compliance
Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards
Conduct periodic audits of motorpool transactions and documentation
Safeguard against fraud, misuse, or overstatement of expenses- Coordination & Support
Assist in preparing reports for management decision-making
Support internal and external audits.
QUALIFICATION
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
At least 1-3 years of accounting experience (experience in logistics/motorpool is an advantage/ fresh graduate are welcome to apply)
Strong knowledge of expense tracking, budgeting, and financial reporting
Proficient in accounting software and MS Excel
Detail-oriented with strong analytical and organizational skills
