Data Operations Developer, Outsourced Finance & Accounting
Job Summary:
The Data Operations Developer is responsible for supporting, maintaining, and enhancing the firm’s existing Microsoft Access–based data solutions and operational workflows. This role manages high volumes of client data transformations, troubleshoots legacy systems, and ensures accuracy, reliability, and efficiency of data processes across Outsourced Finance & Accounting (OF&A) engagements.The incumbent also serves as a bridge between business operations and technical systems, supporting timely data processing and contributing to the transition toward modern data platforms.
Job Duties:
- Access Database Development & Maintenance
o Designs, modifies, and maintains Microsoft Access databases (tables, queries, forms, reports)
o Improves database structures for performance, usability, and data integrity
o Troubleshoots database functionality, corruption, and performance issues- Data Transformation & Processing
o Executes data transformation workflows and standardize client outputs
o Performs data cleansing, validation, and mapping
o Supports recurring and one-time client data processing needs- SQL & Data Management
o Develops and maintains SQL queries (retrieval, updates, transformations)
o Manages staging tables including ingestion, cleanup, and archival
o Ensures adherence to database structure and data integrity standards- Operational Support & Troubleshooting
o Responds to internal data-related support tickets
o Diagnoses and resolves issues across databases and workflows
o Maintains continuity of critical data processes- Workflow Enablement & User Support
o Collaborates with business users to define data and workflow requirements
o Develops user-friendly interfaces in Access
o Provides end-user support and system guidance- Documentation & Process Improvement
o Documents database structures, logic, and operational procedures
o Identifies inefficiencies and recommends process improvements
o Supports standardization of data workflows and transformation logic- Other duties as required

Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Education:
- High School diploma or equivalent, required
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Accounting, or Data Analytics, preferred
Experience:
- Experience in data processing, reporting, or operations-focused environments, preferred
- Experience or familiarity with modern data platforms or migration efforts (implied via ADF transition support), preferred
License/Certifications:
- N/A
Software:
- Two (2) or more years of experience with Microsoft Access or SQL, required
- Proficiency in Microsoft Access (queries, forms, reports), required
- Proficiency with SQL (joins, updates, aggregations, query development), required
- VBA experience, preferred
- Experience with data transformation and cleansing, import/export processes (CSV, Excel, flat files), and relational database concepts and data modeling, preferred
Language:
- English, required
