Maintenance engineer

Job Description

• Perform regular maintenance and inspections on equipment, machinery, and systems to ensure proper functioning.
• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, and electronic systems when issues arise.
• Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs to reduce downtime and extend equipment lifespan.
• Monitor and control the performance of systems and equipment, making adjustments as needed.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and equipment performance.
• Assist in the installation of new machinery or systems and ensure proper commissioning.
• Collaborate with other engineers and departments to resolve technical issues and improve processes.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
• Manage inventory of spare parts and maintenance supplies, ensuring availability when needed.
• Provide technical support and training to other staff members as necessary.

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering (or a related field).
• Strong technical knowledge of mechanical, electrical, HVAC, and control systems.
• Ability to troubleshoot and repair complex equipment and machinery.
• Proficiency with maintenance management software (e.g., CMMS) and Microsoft Office.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
• Knowledge of safety and regulatory standards in maintenance operations.
