Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Bookkeeper to manage the company's day-to-day financial transactions and maintain accurate financial records. The Bookkeeper will be responsible for recording financial activities, reconciling accounts, processing payments, and supporting financial reporting to ensure compliance with company policies and applicable regulations.
Key Responsibilities- Record and maintain accurate financial transactions in accounting systems.
- Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.
- Process invoices, payments, reimbursements, and other financial transactions.
- Reconcile bank statements, credit card statements, and other financial accounts.
- Maintain and update general ledger records.
- Assist in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
- Monitor cash flow and assist with budgeting activities when required.
- Ensure financial records are complete, accurate, and properly documented.
- Support audits by preparing requested financial information and documentation.
- Assist with tax-related documentation and compliance requirements.
- Maintain organized filing systems for financial records and supporting documents.
- Coordinate with internal departments, vendors, clients, and external stakeholders regarding financial matters.
- Identify discrepancies and resolve accounting issues in a timely manner.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, accounting standards, and relevant regulations.
- Perform other accounting, finance, and administrative duties as assigned.
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Proven experience in bookkeeping, accounting, or finance functions.
- Experience using Microsoft Dynamics is required.
- Experience in cruise travel booking or the travel and hospitality industry is an advantage.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial recordkeeping.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
- Excellent attention to detail, organization, and accuracy.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
- Experience with ERP or accounting systems.
- Familiarity with financial reporting and reconciliation processes.
- Understanding of taxation, payroll, and regulatory compliance requirements.
- Ability to adapt to changing business needs and processes.
Working Relationships
The Bookkeeper works closely with Finance, Operations, Human Resources, Management, vendors, clients, auditors, and other internal and external stakeholders as necessary.
