Production supervisor ( food manufacturing )

The Production Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily manufacturing operations to ensure efficiency, quality, and safety standards are met. This role involves supervising production staff, managing workflows, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring timely delivery of products.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Production Management:

• Supervise and coordinate daily production activities to meet production targets.
• Monitor workflow and adjust schedules to optimize efficiency.
• Ensure proper use of machinery and production resources.

1. Quality Control & Compliance:

• Enforce quality control procedures to maintain product standards.
• Conduct inspections and audits to ensure compliance with company and industry regulations.
• Identify and resolve production defects or inefficiencies.

1. Team Supervision & Training:

• Lead, train, and evaluate production staff to improve productivity and performance.
• Assign tasks and responsibilities to team members.
• Provide coaching and support to enhance skills and work ethic.

1. Safety & Compliance:

• Ensure adherence to workplace safety regulations and company policies.
• Conduct safety inspections and implement corrective actions when necessary.
• Promote a culture of safety awareness among employees.

1. Reporting & Documentation:

• Maintain production records, shift reports, and performance metrics.
• Report issues and provide recommendations for process improvements.
• Assist in inventory management and material control.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related field (preferred).
• Minimum X years of experience in a supervisory role within a production or manufacturing environment.
• Strong leadership and problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of production planning, quality control, and safety regulations.
• Proficiency in using production management software and MS Office applications.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Work Environment:

• Factory or production floor setting.
• Requires standing, walking, and lifting moderate weights.
• Shift work may be required depending on production demands.
