IT Project Manager (Mid to Senior) - with Banking Background

About the role

You will be responsible for managing end-to-end project delivery, ensuring stakeholder satisfaction, and maintaining alignment with organisational objectives. This role offers the opportunity to lead high-impact initiatives whilst leveraging your banking sector expertise to drive innovation and operational excellence.

Key responsibilities:

1. Plan, initiate, execute, and close technology projects with a focus on banking and financial services solutions
2. Define project scope, objectives, deliverables, and timelines in collaboration with business stakeholders and technical teams
3. Develop comprehensive project plans, budgets, and resource allocation strategies
4. Lead cross-functional teams including developers, quality assurance specialists, and infrastructure engineers
5. Manage project risks, issues, and changes using established frameworks and best practices
6. Monitor project progress against key performance indicators and timelines, providing regular status updates to senior management and stakeholders
7. Ensure compliance with banking regulations, security standards, and organisational policies throughout project lifecycle
8. Facilitate effective communication between technical teams, business units, and external vendors or partners
9. Conduct stakeholder engagement activities and manage expectations throughout project delivery
10. Implement lessons learned and drive continuous improvement in project delivery methodologies

What we're looking for:

1. 7+ years of project management experience, with at least 5 years specifically in the banking, financial services, or related regulated industries
2. Proven expertise in managing IT infrastructure, application development, digital transformation, or similar technology-focused projects
3. In-depth knowledge of banking operations, compliance requirements, security standards, and regulatory frameworks such as BSP guidelines, AML/CFT regulations, and data protection standards
4. Strong proficiency in project management methodologies including Waterfall, Agile, or hybrid approaches
5. Certifications such as PMP, Prince2, or Agile certifications are highly desirable
6. Demonstrated experience managing large-scale or complex projects with budgets exceeding PHP 10 million
7. Excellent stakeholder management skills with proven ability to communicate effectively with C-suite executives, technical teams, and external partners
8. Strong problem-solving abilities and experience navigating challenging project environments
9. Leadership experience with the ability to mentor and develop team members
10. Advanced proficiency in project management tools such as Microsoft Project, Jira, Asana, or similar platforms
11. Excellent command of written and spoken English; Filipino language skills are advantageous
12. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or related field
