Safety Officer

• Bachelor's degree in any four-year course or any related field..
• Certified Safety Officer (SO2, SO3, or higher) as required by Occupational Safety and Health Standards (OSHS).
• At least 2–3 years of experience in safety management, preferably in telecommunications, internet services, construction, or related industries.
• Knowledge of Occupational Safety and Health Standards (OSHS), DOLE regulations, and other applicable government requirements.
• Experience in conducting safety inspections, risk assessments, incident investigations, and safety training programs.
• Familiarity with work-at-height activities, fiber optic installations, electrical safety, and field operations is an advantage.
• Proficient in preparing reports, documentation, and compliance submissions to government agencies.
• Strong communication, leadership, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook).
• Willing to travel and conduct site inspections as required.

• Ensure compliance with occupational safety and health (OSH) laws, company policies, and regulatory requirements.
• Conduct safety inspections, risk assessments, and hazard identification to maintain a safe workplace.
• Monitor the proper use of PPE and implementation of safe work practices during field and office operations.
• Investigate accidents, incidents, and near-misses, and recommend corrective and preventive actions.
• Conduct safety orientations, toolbox meetings, and training programs for employees and contractors.
• Prepare, submit, and monitor OSH reports and compliance requirements to the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) and other regulatory agencies.
• Maintain safety records, permits, and documentation, and ensure compliance with work permit requirements.
• Coordinate emergency preparedness activities, including fire drills, evacuation drills, and first-aid programs.
• Ensure the availability and proper maintenance of safety equipment and emergency response tools.
• Monitor contractor compliance with company safety standards and assist in developing and implementing safety programs.
• Support the Safety and Health Committee and coordinate with government agencies during inspections and compliance audits.
• Promote a strong safety culture through awareness campaigns and continuous improvement initiatives.
