The Water Supply Plant Operator is responsible for the safe, continuous, and efficient operation of the water treatment plant, pumping stations, and related facilities to ensure the delivery of potable water in accordance with design, regulatory, and service level standards.The position supports the Plant Engineer and Plant Head by performing day-to-day plant operations, routine monitoring, preventive maintenance, and first-line troubleshooting of treatment, pumping, and storage systems.
Qualifications/Requirements
Technical-vocational, associate degree, or bachelor’s degree in engineering, Industrial Technology, Water Technology, or a related field is preferred.
At least 1–2 years of experience in water or wastewater treatment plant operations, pumping stations, or industrial process operations is an advantage.
Basic understanding of water treatment processes, including filtration, membranes, disinfection, and pumping systems. Ability to operate electromechanical equipment and plant control systems. Familiar with safety protocols, chemical handling, and standard plant operating procedures.
Alert, disciplined, and safety-oriented with strong attention to detail. Able to work in shifts, weekends, and emergency situations. Detail-oriented with good record-keeping skills and the ability to follow technical instructions. Team-oriented and able to work effectively in operational environments.
